THE HOLY FAMILY JOURNEY TO EGYPT

Arrive in Cairo International Airport – meet and assist through customs and arrival formalities, – Transfer to Hotel – check inn and overnight transfer  to your hotel at Cairo.

Breakfast in hotel – briefing of your itinerary and introduction to your guide – visit the world-famous Egyptian Museum of Antiquities –Your private Egyptologist will accompany you to visit “the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, sitting in the shadows of Cairo’s modern town hall, the elegant coral-pink and copper-domed Egyptian Museum strikes a gentle pose. The restrained neo-classical French exterior is little preparation for the awesome array of treasures and ancient wonders that wait silently behind it’s arched windows.

Stepping through the entrance into the grand central atrium, monumental statues tower overhead from the imposing Colossus of Amenhotep III to King Djoser’s life-size sculpture. The ground floor galleries take you on a trip through time, each room filled with the splendours of a great kingdom. King Narmer’s 5,000 year old palette is an item of major artistic and historical importance.

Ancient Egypt’s cultural wealth is also shown in many other artefacts that reveal the skill of ancient artisans.

But it’s the upper floor that holds the greatest allure. The Tutankhamun Galleries house over 1,700 items including Tutankhamun’s famous tomb, discovered in the Valley of the Kings in West-Thebes, opposite modern Luxor.

The Egyptian Museum is just simply unrivalled with over 136,000 items on display, not mentioning the hundreds of thousands in the basement. These items date back to the very origins of a united Egypt in 3,100 BC. The museum is renowned for holding the finest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world.

Then you will visit the renowned Saladin Citadel that was built by Saladin in the 12^th Century and was the seat of power for the following 700 years. On the premises is the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, one of the landmarks in Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of the city. The Mohammed Ali mosque was built in Turkish style, and then to Khan El Khalily Bazar – return to hotel and overnight at Cairo.

After breakfast in your hotel we will move to Giza to visit The Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren&Mykerions. Cheops is the most colossal ever built. Next is a close-up look at Sphinx – a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren.

The Pyramids of Giza built for the Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. They were constructed about 2500 BC with blocks of limestone from the plateau and from the Turah hills on the outskirts of Cairo. The Great Pyramid of Cheops alone, the only present-day survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, required over 2,300,000 blocks of stone, each weighing about 2.5 tons. At its base, it covers 13 acres of land.

Millions of visitors come each year to ponder the fascinating mystery of their existence and explore the ancient burial chambers within.

Breakfast at hotel – transfer by bus to Bilbais City to follow one of the first steps of the Holy Family in Egypt– the holy virgin marry tree –  The Church of St. George – Cross the Nil by Boat to Samanoud to visit the Church of St Mary the Virgin, the Huge Round Granite– Return to Cairo and overnight at your hotel.

Breakfast at hotel – transfer by bus to Sakha to visit the Church of St. Mary – Jesus Christ was imprinted on a stone – Cross Rashid – Branch of the Nill River and pleased in the Four Directions of the valley (Church of Pope Kyrillos, Church of St. Magarius, Church of Amba – Bishoy or St. Mary Syria Monastery, virgin Mary Monastery), return to hotel in Cairo and overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel – transfer by bus to Ain – Shams and Al-Matariya to visit the House of (Onias). The tree of Virgin Mary, The Holy Water Spring ,the Monastery of Virgin Mary – transfer to El-Zaitoun District to visit the Church of Virgin Mary. The Church of St. George St, Marc Monastery the Holy Life – Tree. The Holy Library. Return to hotel in Cairo and overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel – Transfer by bus to visit Maadi to visit the Church of St. Virgin Mary at Maadi and after visit we move to the old Cairo to visit the Old Cairo Churches: –

1 –      The Church of Virgin Mary (Al – Mualluqoh).

2 –      The Church of St. Sergius (Abu – Sergeah).

3 –      The Church of St. Barbara of Old Cairo.

4 –      The Jewish Synagogue at Old Cairo

We visit the Fortress of Babylon and move to visit the Coptic Museum.

At the end of the day return to your hotel and overnight at your hotel in Cairo.

Bags ready for pickup outside your room, breakfast at hotel – travel to Maghaghah to visit Deir Al-Garnous (10 K.M from Al-Ashmunin Near Maghaghah) and the Hold Deep Vill then transfer to Al- Bahnasa to visit Monastery of the Holy Virgin on Gabal El Tair in East of Samalut – cross the Nile by Boat to visit deir El Kaf- Return to the hotel at Minya and overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel, transfer by bus to NazletEbied to Visit El-Abed tree in GabalEltair then cross the Nile river by Miniya New Bridge to visit ( Ashmunien ) ( Monasteries , Churches – Martyrs – Saints ) Transfer to Dayrut to visit Kouskam Mountain , Monastery  of El-Moharraq then to Durunka Hill at Assiut ( Deir Duruncka ) . Return to the hotel at Assiut and overnight at hotel.

Bags ready for Pickup outside your room – Breakfast at hotel – Travel to Luxor – full day –Cross the Nile river to visit the West Bank (Valley of Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon – Return to the hotel in Luxor and overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel transfer to Luxor City East Bank to visit (Luxor & Karnak Temple). 

 in Evening sound and Light Show at Karnak (optional) – back to the hotel at Luxor and overnight at hotel .

Bags ready for pickup outside your room – breakfast at the hotel – transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo – arrival Cairo and transfer to your hotel and overnight in Cairo
